Dealer associations by brand bring together business owners from the same official network to represent common interests before the manufacturer and take part in structures such as Faconauto. They are not the same as an association of independent used car dealers or a regional employers' association.

Main brand associations listed by Faconauto

Faconauto's public list includes, among others:

  • Renault — ANCR;

  • Volvo;

  • SEAT — ANCOSAT;

  • Volkswagen, Audi and Škoda — ACEVAS;

  • Ford — ACOFORD;

  • Nissan — AECONISSAN/ACONISSAN;

  • Mercedes-Benz;

  • Toyota;

  • BMW-MINI;

  • Suzuki;

  • Fiat — ANEFA;

  • Kia;

  • Mazda;

  • Citroën-DS;

  • OMODA & JAECOO — ANCOJ;

  • associations for Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Iveco, Scania, DAF and Daimler Trucks.

In 2026, AECS was also created, absorbing the Peugeot, Opel and Leapmotor associations to unify the representation of Stellantis dealerships.

What problem they solve

A dealership is an independent company, but it operates within a network with common rules. The manufacturer's decisions can affect many companies at the same time.

A brand association makes it possible to:

  1. bring together the network's concerns;

  2. analyse their collective impact;

  3. negotiate or hold talks with the brand;

  4. coordinate information;

  5. take part in the national employers' association;

  6. share experience between dealerships.

Difference from Faconauto

The brand association works at the level closest to the manufacturer. Faconauto groups those associations together and represents problems common to the whole dealership sector.

It is a two-layer structure: specific network + general employers' association.

Guides by association

What about used cars?

A franchised dealership is also a relevant player in used cars: trade-ins, nearly-new cars, buybacks and demo units feed its stock.

That is why used-car problems —turnover, pricing, reconditioning or leads— cross the boundary between franchised and independent networks. This guide on inventory management goes deeper into that operational side.

How to choose where to take part

If you are a franchised dealership, start with your brand association. If you also need regional representation, it may make sense to add a regional or provincial organisation. And for technical knowledge, used cars or community, there are other specialised bodies.

AECOVI and brand associations

Brand associations are essential for representing dealerships before the manufacturer. AECOVI does not get involved in that relationship. Its contribution comes in when professionals want to share knowledge about used cars, digital processes or management with operators from other brands and with independent used car dealers. It is a cross-cutting layer, not a replacement for the network association.
