What changes operationally when you have more than one site
With a single site, the owner has natural visibility of the business: they see the stock physically, know the active leads and know what's happening in real time because they're there. With two or more sites, that visibility disappears and the software has to replace it.
The most common problems when moving to a second site are threefold. The first is that the owner doesn't always know what stock is at each location, which cars have been sitting the longest or where the files for each deal are.

The second is that leads are handled inconsistently: one site uses one system and the other uses another, or they use the same system but without coordination between teams.
The third is that the accounting and invoicing for two points of sale, whether under a single company or two separate companies, creates an administrative burden that becomes a bottleneck without the right system.
Centralised visibility: seeing the whole business from one dashboard
The most important feature in software for multiple sites isn't the most sophisticated one: it's being able to see the total stock, active leads, deals in progress and the period's margin for the whole business in a single dashboard, with the option to filter by site when needed.
That centralised visibility lets the owner make decisions with complete information: if the Valencia site has three cars that have been sitting for more than 60 days and the Madrid site has active demand for that profile, knowing that from the dashboard without having to call any manager is what lets you act before the problem gets bigger.
The breakdown by site is also relevant for assessing each location's performance: average margin, days to turnover, lead conversion rate. If one site consistently performs worse than the other, the data shows it before the problem becomes irreversible.

Managing stock across sites: which cars are where
With several sites, stock has to be clearly assigned to each location. A car listed on portals without any indication of its site can generate leads from buyers who later discover the car is in another city, which creates friction and lost leads.
Transferring a car from one site to another is a transaction the system has to record: the car leaves one site's inventory and enters another's, with the transport cost added to the file. Without that record, the margin accounting is distorted.
Check how to organise transporting cars between points of sale.
Allowing a lead from one site to buy a car located at another (cross-site sales) requires a defined process and system support to manage the delivery, paperwork and invoicing of that deal without it turning into administrative chaos.
Leads and salespeople across several locations
With sales teams at different sites, lead assignment has to be clear from the outset: each lead goes to the right site based on the contact's source or a defined assignment rule, and that site's salesperson is responsible for the follow-up.
See how the Dealcar automotive leads CRM.
Without that clear assignment, leads can go unanswered because nobody knows who has to respond, or they can be handled by two people at once because there's no visibility of who is already working that contact.
The business owner or manager needs to see the activity of the teams at every site without having to log into separate systems: how many active leads each site has, what each team's response rate is and which deals are in progress at each location.
Invoicing and accounting in a multi-site business
If the two or three sites operate under the same company, invoicing is simpler: all invoices are issued by the same entity and the accounting is unified. The software has to make it possible to identify which invoice belongs to which site for internal reporting, even though for tax purposes it's the same entity.
If each site has its own company (two or three separate SLs), invoicing has to be independent for each entity. In that case, the software needs to support managing several tax entities from the same login, with separate accounts but consolidated visibility for the owner.
The REBU register is also kept per tax entity. If there are two companies, there are two separate registers that have to be kept up to date independently.
Check what the REBU registry book must include and how to organise it.

When Dealcar is enough and when you need to think bigger
Dealcar supports multi-site management for businesses with two or three points of sale and volumes of up to 150 cars a month in total. For that profile, Dealcar's multi-site management covers centralised visibility, stock allocation by site, lead management by location and invoicing under one or several entities.
For groups with more than four or five sites, volumes above 200 cars a month or complex accounting consolidation needs across multiple companies, larger-scale platforms such as Quiter have features designed specifically for that complexity. Moving to those platforms means significantly higher implementation costs and monthly fees, which are justified from a certain volume upwards.

Dealcar for dealerships with multiple sites
Dealcar lets you manage several sites from a single login with separate visibility by location. Stock is assigned to each site, leads are assigned to the relevant teams and the owner sees the whole business or site by site, depending on what they need at any given moment.
Invoicing and the REBU register work correctly whether all sites operate under the same company or each one has its own tax entity.
You can see the multi-site features in dealcar.io/dms-software-concesionario or request a demo at dealcar.io.
Frequently asked questions
Can each site have its own login without seeing the others' data?
Yes. Dealcar lets you configure access permissions per user, so that salespeople at each site only see their own inventory and leads, while the owner or manager has visibility of everything.
Can a site's stock be published on portals showing the correct location?
Yes. Each vehicle is assigned to a site and that information is included in the portal listing, so the buyer knows from the outset where the car they're interested in is.
Is it possible to transfer a car from one site to another from the system?
Yes. The transfer between sites is recorded in the vehicle's file with the associated transport cost, which keeps the margin calculation up to date with all the real costs of the deal.
