The Agrupación de Concesionarios de Turismos Volvo de España (Association of Volvo Passenger Car Dealers of Spain) is the associative structure that represents the business owners of the official Volvo network. It is among the member associations of Faconauto and maintains its own business identity.
What we know about its structure
The existence and activity of the association appear both in Faconauto and in the Register of Business Organisations. In 2026, the BOE (Official State Gazette) published an amendment to its statutes agreed upon by its General Assembly in October 2025.
This fact is relevant because it shows that it is not simply an informal network name, but a business organisation with its own governing bodies and statutes.
What a Volvo network association provides
Public information on specific services is more limited than in associations with an extensive website. Even so, its role within Faconauto helps to define its function: to channel the voice of Volvo passenger car dealers in common network matters and to participate in representing the official distribution sector as a whole.
For a dealer, this coordination is particularly useful when the manufacturer's decisions affect investments, sales processes, digitalisation, or profitability.
And what is its relationship with used vehicles?
Official dealerships also buy, trade-in, and sell used cars. Therefore, although the association primarily represents the relationship of the official network, many of its members have direct interests in used vehicles: valuation, stock, turnover, warranties, and remarketing.
For that part of the business, a useful read is how to reduce the turnover time of used vehicles.
What a dealership should review before assessing the association
Beyond the name, it is advisable to ask about:
governing bodies and working groups;
frequency of meetings;
advisory services;
relationship with the manufacturer;
participation in Faconauto;
access to information reserved for members.
The exact role may change over time, so the primary source should always be the association itself or Faconauto.
The relationship with AECOVI
AECOVI does not represent dealerships before a brand and, therefore, does not replace this association. Its role lies in another part of the business: used vehicles, digitalisation and peer learning. For a dealership with a used vehicle business, it can be useful to compare practices with operators from other networks and independent dealers, whilst keeping the brand association as a specific representation channel.
