The Spanish Association of Peugeot Dealerships (Asociación Española de Concesionarios Peugeot) was for years the representative body of the Peugeot network, but in 2026 it was integrated into the new Spanish Association of Stellantis Dealerships (AECS).

What changed in 2026

The creation of AECS meant the absorption of the Peugeot, Opel and Leapmotor associations. The aim was to unify the representation of the Stellantis group's dealerships under a single structure.

This means that, to understand how Peugeot dealerships are represented today, it is no longer enough to look up historical information on the specific association: you need to look at AECS.

Why the integration happened

Stellantis operates as a group with multiple brands and an increasingly integrated organisation. Dealerships saw advantages in concentrating representation, resources and negotiating power.

The published reasons include efficiency, equal rights among members and the need to tackle challenges such as electrification, digitalisation and profitability together.

What happens to Peugeot-specific issues?

A common association does not remove each brand's commercial particularities. Peugeot keeps its identity, range and network. What changes is the legal and organisational vehicle through which the dealerships are collectively represented.

That is why a Peugeot dealership should check AECS's structure and internal channels to find out how brand-specific issues are handled.

Why keep this article

The search “Asociación de Concesionarios Peugeot” still makes sense and appears in historical documentation. Explaining the transition prevents professionals from finding outdated information.

See what AECS is and how the new structure works.

The relationship with AECOVI

AECOVI does not represent dealerships before a brand and therefore does not replace this association. Its role lies in another part of the business: used vehicles, digitalisation and learning between professionals. For a dealership with used car activity, it can be useful to compare practices with operators from other networks and with independent used car dealers, while keeping the brand association as the specific channel for representation.
