Why price varies so much between options
Software for car dealerships can cost anywhere from 30 euros per month to several thousands. This difference is not just about features: it is about who the product is designed for, how much support is included, whether there is custom implementation, and how many third-party integrations it has.
A basic billing program with a REBU (Special Scheme for Second-Hand Goods) module costs very little because it does very little: it generates invoices and maintains the registry book, but it does not manage stock, does not publish on portals, and does not have a CRM. An all-in-one platform that integrates stock, portals, CRM, agency management, REBU billing, and a website costs more because it solves more problems with a single system.
The correct comparison is not between monthly fees but between the total cost of solving the problem: the software fee plus the time saved compared to the previous model.
Basic tier: 30-80 euros per month
In this range are mainly generalist accounting and billing software superficially adapted for the sector: Holded, Contasimple, basic versions of Sage. They manage billing and basic accounting, but REBU requires manual configuration, there is no file per vehicle, no multi-posting to portals, and no CRM.
Read why Holded, Sage, and A3 do not manage REBU well in a car dealership.
For a dealership that sells 3 or 4 cars a month and has an agency that actively manages REBU, these tools may be sufficient. For any business that sells more than 8 or 10 cars a month, the time consumed manually supplementing what the software does not do far outweighs the savings in the fee.
Medium tier: 80-200 euros per month
Here you will find specific platforms for car dealerships that cover the essential features: stock management with a file per vehicle, multi-posting to portals, lead CRM, and native REBU billing with an automatic registry book.

Dealcar falls into this tier with its starter plans, as does Inventario Pro in its versions for independent dealerships. For a business selling between 10 and 50 cars a month, this is the range where the greatest value is found: the features that save the most time and eliminate the most errors are in this tier.
The difference between tools in this range lies in the depth of each module, the quality of support, and whether they include additional features like integrated agency management, a professional website, or AI agents.
Advanced tier: 200-500 euros per month
In this range are platforms with more advanced features for medium and high volumes: multi-site management, more complete integrations with finance companies and portals, advanced profitability reporting, and more sophisticated automation.
Dealcar in its higher plans and some configurations of Walcu fall into this tier. For a business with 50 to 150 cars per month with several sales representatives and a need for advanced business visibility, this range can be justified.
The key question in this tier is whether the additional features compared to the medium tier generate enough value to justify the price difference. For many independent dealerships, the features of the medium tier are sufficient, and the jump to the advanced tier does not yield a proportional return.
Enterprise tier: over 500 euros per month
Above 500 euros per month are platforms for groups with multiple locations, volumes exceeding 200 cars monthly, and complex integration needs: Quiter, MotorK, Dapda, and custom solutions built on generalist ERPs.

These platforms also have implementation costs that can be significant: between 5,000 and 50,000 euros depending on the complexity of the project, plus team training and adaptation time. The monthly license cost is only a part of the total cost.
For an independent dealership with one or two locations, these platforms are oversized. The point where it makes sense to evaluate them is from three active locations or volumes exceeding 200 cars monthly with teams of more than 10 people.
Costs not visible in the monthly fee
The monthly fee is the most visible cost, but not the only one. There are three additional costs that should be calculated before making a decision.
The cost of implementation and onboarding. Some platforms charge for the initial setup process and data migration. With Dealcar, onboarding is included. On larger-scale platforms, it can represent several thousand additional euros.
The cost of training. Learning to use a new system consumes time from the owner and the team. A system that takes two weeks to learn how to use has a real cost in productivity during those two weeks that does not appear on any invoice.
The cost of not migrating. If your current system is generating errors in REBU, losing leads due to lack of follow-up, or consuming hours of the owner's time on tasks that should be automated, every month the change is delayed has a real, albeit invisible, cost.

How to calculate the ROI of investing in software
The calculation of return on investment in software has two parts: time savings and the benefit from improved conversion.
Time savings are estimated like this: add up the hours you spend each week manually posting cars to portals, managing leads from multiple channels without a centralized system, and preparing data for the agency. Multiply that by your hourly cost (if you could spend that time buying or selling, how much would you generate). For most dealerships with 15 or more cars a month, that number exceeds 200 euros monthly.

The benefit from improved conversion is harder to calculate but also more significant. If the software improves the response speed to leads and the conversion rate rises from 8% to 10%, in a business with 80 monthly leads, that means 1.6 additional sales per month. At an average margin of 1,400 euros per sale, that is 2,240 euros of additional monthly profit that the software has generated.

With those two numbers, the fee of a 120 or 150 euro per month software pays for itself many times over.
Dealcar and its pricing proposal
Dealcar offers plans starting at 90 euros per month for the starter plan, which covers stock management, multi-posting to portals, lead CRM, REBU billing with registry book, and a professional website. Higher plans add features like integrated agency management, AI agents, and multi-site management.
There are no additional implementation costs: onboarding and data migration are included in all plans. You can view available plans and their prices at dealcar.io/software-concesionario or request a demo at dealcar.io.
Frequently asked questions
Are cheaper software options enough to start?
If you sell fewer than 5 cars a month and have an agency that actively manages REBU, basic tier programs may be sufficient in the short term. If you sell more than 10 cars a month, the cost in time of manually supplementing what the software does not do outweighs the savings in the fee.
Are there hidden costs in Dealcar plans?
No. The monthly fee includes onboarding, data migration, support, and updates. There are no implementation fees or costs for additional users within the limits of the contracted plan.
Can I change plans if the business grows?
Yes. Dealcar plans are scalable without the need to migrate platforms. The stock, contacts, and transaction history remain in the same system regardless of the active plan.
Does it make sense to pay more for software with integrated AI?
It depends on the volume. For a dealership that moves 15 or more cars a month, AI agents for generating descriptions and responding to leads can save between 5 and 10 hours monthly. At that volume, the additional cost of the AI feature pays for itself in just a few weeks.
